Project Name:

Bons Secours Hospital Limerick

Location:

Ballysimon, Limerick

The Bon Secours Hospital in Ballysimon, Limerick is a major €213 million healthcare development and the first new acute hospital built in Ireland in almost two decades. The modern hospital facility spans approximately 23,050 m² and includes 96 inpatient beds, modern surgical theatres and advanced diagnostic services. Designed to treat up to 50,000 patients annually, the hospital represents a significant expansion of healthcare capacity for the Mid-West region.

Kelly RAC was engaged to deliver specialist HVAC installation works as part of the mechanical services package for the project. Appointed by Jones Engineering Group and working in accordance with the Homan O’Brien design, Kelly RAC supplied, installed and commissioned Daikin VRV and Sky Air Split air conditioning systems to provide efficient and reliable climate control within designated areas of the hospital.

The works involved the installation and commissioning of high-performance air conditioning systems designed to maintain stable indoor environmental conditions while supporting energy efficiency and operational reliability. All works were completed in coordination with the wider mechanical services team to ensure seamless integration with the building services infrastructure and compliance with the strict standards required for healthcare environments.
