Located in Grünheide near Berlin, Tesla Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg is Tesla’s first manufacturing facility in Europe and a major electric vehicle production site for the Tesla Model Y. The large-scale industrial campus spans approximately 300 hectares (740 acres) and includes more than 227,000 m² of factory space, supporting a workforce of over 11,000 employees. The facility plays a key role in Tesla’s European manufacturing operations and represents one of the company’s most significant investments in the region.
Kelly RAC was engaged to deliver specialist HVAC installation works as part of the mechanical services package for the project. Appointed by Rathmore Mechanical Services and working in accordance with the Tesla MEP design, Kelly RAC supplied, installed and commissioned Daikin VRV and Sky Air Split air conditioning systems to provide efficient and reliable climate control within designated areas of the facility.
The project involved the installation and commissioning of high-performance air conditioning systems designed to maintain consistent indoor environmental conditions while supporting operational efficiency. All works were completed in coordination with the wider mechanical services team to ensure seamless integration with the building services infrastructure and compliance with project specifications.
